The Perfect Soundtrack

The wedding day was full of love, laughter, and all the little things that made it unique to David and Tierra. They kicked things off with some classic R&B hits like “Spend My Life” by Eric Benet ft. Tamia and “For the Love of You” by The Isley Brothers, and then Tierra made her grand entrance to the soulful sounds of Snoh Aalegra in “Find Someone Like You.” The whole ceremony was so beautiful, and it was clear that these two were totally meant to be.

Did You Know:

  • The song was not originally written for the movie “Grease.” The songwriters, John Farrar and Barry Gibb, had actually written the song for a different project, but it was later used in “Grease” when the filmmakers heard it and decided it would be a good fit for the movie.
  • The song was almost cut from the movie. When the filmmakers were putting the final cut of the movie together, they considered cutting the “You’re the One That I Want” scene because they felt that it slowed down the pacing of the movie. However, after some convincing from the choreographer, the scene was kept in and ended up becoming one of the most memorable moments in the movie.

Reception and Dance

Throughout the day, the couple’s love for each other shone through in every aspect of the wedding. From the heartfelt speeches given by family and friends to the small details that reflected their unique personalities, it was clear that this was a wedding that was truly about celebrating the love between Devon and Aimee.

As the evening drew to a close, the couple shared one last dance together before making their grand exit. They left the wedding hand in hand, ready to start the next chapter of their lives together. It was a beautiful day filled with love, laughter, and memories that will last a lifetime.

Did You Know:

  • “The opening drumbeat of the song was actually inspired by the sound of a car engine. According to the Bee Gees’ drummer Dennis Bryon, he was sitting in a car waiting for the traffic light to turn green when he started tapping out the rhythm on the steering wheel. That rhythm eventually became the famous opening beat of “Staying Alive.”
  • The song was originally written for another film before it was used in “Saturday Night Fever.” In 1977, the Bee Gees were asked to write a song for the film “Thank God It’s Friday,” which was also about disco culture. They came up with “Stayin’ Alive,” but ultimately decided to give it to “Saturday Night Fever” instead, where it became one of the most iconic songs of the era.

You Are What I Couldn’t Find.

The day started early for the bride squad and Emily -as they arrived at the scene at 7:25 am! Of course, there was plenty of water and Gatorade waiting for them as their beauty routines began. The ladies needed to stay hydrated for the day ahead and for all the dancing taking place -and Boy! They danced their feet off!

Emily was ready at 12:00 pm and headed to the ceremony -which took place at the Brick barn. It is always cute to learn that the groom does not see the bride until the ceremony. For all the people claiming romance is dead, Emily and Cody sure proved them wrong. The look in Cody’s eyes as they caught the first glimpse of his bride was invaluable.

When Cody and Emily officially became Mr. and Mrs., they headed back to the reception.

The Grounds high The RunMC

A “Grupo Norteño,” which literally translates into “Northern musical group,” was already there, cheering the guests and setting the mood for an unforgettable afternoon. A photo booth was also installed on the patio, and so the fun continued!

Not only we got to witness such powerful emotions, we actually got a high five from one of the youngest guests a beautiful little girl. How cannot we love what we do?

The Wedding of Cody & Emily

How can one describe a wedding by calling it “cool” without diminishing its relevance? In all truthfulness, Cody and Emily’s wedding cannot be labeled any other way. The whole day reverberated of good vibes, chillness, but above all, warmth. I’m reminiscing a super sunny day, a sense of familiarity and an honest love between all the attendees you could actually feel. The love the guests have for the newlyweds was palpable, and the look in Emily’s eyes told them all she’d waited her whole life to experience this day.

CE Last Dance high The RunMC

Yes, there were stunning flower arrangements at the pool, and Emily looked like royalty in her laced dress. The couple looked ravishing as they cut their cake under a luxurious chandelier. But despite all, like in the movie, loved ruled that day.

    Ahhh the Music

    • Emily and Cody decided to make an entrance with style; both groom and bride wore sunglasses, and they marched upon while “Dreams” by The Cranberries (Dolores, you are missed! RIP). If there’s an upbeat song to celebrate the commencement of the rest of your life, this is it.
    • Then, for their first dance as a married duo, Emily and Cody requested “God Only Knows” by the Beach Boys. Three facts we want to highlight about this iconic song. First, did you know when the Beach Boys released the song, it was considered taboo to have the word “god” in song lyrics? (It was in 1966, if you were wondering). Even so, it was an immediate hit.
    • The second fun fact is that the song has been used in pop culture often. I am sure you all remember the unforgettable scene at Heathrow Airport from the movie “Love Actually… is all Around,” in which we learn that despite what the media tells us, love is the number one ruler.
    • Finally, we thought the song was the ideal way to depict Emily and Cody’s union. This wedding reflected the true meaning of getting married! You could see people dancing, holding hands, a daddy carrying his little girl, a mother enjoying dessert while a stroller was next to her.

We’d like to give a big ol RunMC shout out to the friend who caught the bouquet like a pro!

    A New Beggining

Paul and Pavlina picked the San Bernardo Ranch Inn as their wedding venue. With more than 40 years in the business, choosing such a beautiful place is a no-miss. The site is accustomed to hosting small, intimate gatherings but also large formal affairs. For anyone seeking an ample space outdoors, surrounded by spotless green grass, and leafy trees, the San Bernardo Ranch Inn has it all.

One thing we immediately noticed upon arriving at the scene was the amount and variety of flowers. Both the ceremony and the reception were adorned with countless flower arrangements, the display of that many colors was a treat to the eye. The same could be said about Pavlina’s bouquet; she did not go for a modest, small arrangement. It was a cascade of petals and numerous shades -it definitely gave the whole day an ethereal vibe. Fun fact: the colorful thematic did not stop there, as the food was as vibrant and vivid as the rest of the decoration.

The officiant’s words indeed triggered a few emotional tears and sobs among the guests. He made the groom and bride promise to love each other the way they were now, as well as the person they would be bound to become -what a phrase!

    Her name was Lola

After the lovely ceremony, dinner was served at 6:00 pm. Paul and Pavlina requested Ol’ Blue eyes, Mr. Frank Sinatra, to delight their guests with his repertoire. As you may know, “My Way” has been covered more than 60 times -that is, 60 different artists! Nonetheless, there was only one, the Voice, to perform it, and Paul and Pavlina went with the original.

    First Dance high The RunMC

It all went uphill from that moment, as the couple chose “It is not unusual” by Tom Jones for their first dance. But here’s the catch: Paul and Pavlina danced a choreography from the show Dance with the Stars. Their moves and steps would’ve made Barbara Mandrell green with envy (for the youngsters out there, replace the reference with Zac Efron and Vanessa from High School Musical). Paul got rid of his jacket, and Pavlina changed into a short dress; glamour is fantastic, but practicality had to be applied for the couple to shine at the dance floor.

The Wedding of Paul & Pavlina

Let’s be honest. Some couples were born to stardom. Such is the case of Paul and Pavlina. We are not referring only to the bride’s beauty but to other super cool details. Keep reading; we’re getting into them.

t was 1964 when Gordon Mills and Less Reed composed the song that would send Tom Jones to international stardom faster than you can say Blueberry Pie. Paul and Pavlina picked one of the catchiest and melodic songs in History, as they made History themselves.

     Night With the Stars

The salon came to life when lots of candles were lit. All that dancing made family and friends hungry. Paul and Pavlina treated their guests with cake, snacks, and at 10:00 pm, they served tacos -California style!

Despite the surprises, the choreographies, the flowers, and the colors, the spotlight was always on the couple. Nothing shone more that day than the love they expressed through their laughter, their exchanged looks, and the way they embraced each other.

We were lucky to accompany the couple with the music. And we loved how the groom put it: “Music at a wedding creates the storyline.” May yours and Pavlina´s be the best love story ever written!
