Anthony and Ashley

Anthony and Ashley

L’Auberge was the couple’s place for their wedding spot -both for the ceremony and the reception. Auberge translates to a historical association between an Inn and a restaurant – The venue has different areas that can be used for weddings and other celebrations. Anthony and Ashley utilized all of them!

  • The ceremony took place in the mesmerizing Pacific Terrace -named like that for the majestic view of the ocean.
  • Cocktails were enjoyed in the Sunset Terrace.
  • The reception was held in the Platinum Ballroom.

L’Auberge takes pride in helping to make that special day perfect for you. They have romantic accommodations, Bridal changing rooms, different areas overlooking the Pacific, and helpful staff. Their experience was evident in Anthony and Ashley’s day as it went spotless.

L-O-V-E is Simple

Who cannot feel anything but empowered and exhilarated as Beyonce signs Crazy in Love? That was the hymn the married ones chose for their triumphal entrance -and judging for Ashley’s eyes, you could tell those lyrics applied to her.

It was terrific watching Anthony and Ashley dancing. The devotion in Anthony’s eyes in their first dance -while he mumbled the lyrics to her. The happiness and good vibes as they “got down” with Lil Jon & The East Side Boyz on the dance floor (smoking hot if you ask us.) The complicity as they exchanged looks in their final dance. They wouldn’t let go of the other! It was sweet and

incredible.

The Wedding of Anthony and Ashley

It’s paradise as long as I’m with you.

The scenery was breathtaking, the weather was fantastic, and love… L-O-V-E was in the air that day. That Friday, Anthony and Ashley chose to officially become husband and wife. How lucky we got to partake in the fun, the views, and an overall feeling of joy.

Roses are red

It was impossible not to notice the rose petals along the aisle and in different spots at the wedding. Aside from giving the area a romantic, ethereal look, rose petals have been a symbolic icon of weddings for ages! They represent passion, virtue, and love.

Speaking about love, many pairs of eyes got moist as Ashley’s dad walked her down the aisle. It was that quintessential moment when the father delivers the bride. In this case, Ashely’s dad literally gave her hand to Anthony -she went from being loved by her father to being loved by her husband. What a moment!

After the officiant declared them husband and wife, Anthony gave a hilarious hop which triggered laughter and a round of applause. That kind of happiness cannot be concealed. The newlyweds marched out with Vivaldi -and his Four Seasons -towards the reception.

Also remarkable is when a couple has a song. You know, “their song.” In the case of Anthony and Ashley, it is Simple by Florida Georgia Line. Hubbard, from the famous musical duo, said the song talked about keeping love simple. That things don’t have to be complicated -especially relationships. Looking at Anthony and Ashley that day, one understood that it simply “fits.”

For the cutting cake tradition, the newlyweds opted for the classical. L-O-V-E with all-time favorite Nat King Cole. The song has been covered many times and featured in Glee, Parent Trap, and Sleepless in Seattle -the ultimate rom-com! Nat King Cole recorded versions of the song in Japanese, Spanish, German, and French! It suited fantastic to the moment, with the candles and the beautiful California evening above them.

Friends and family joined the dance floor for the last dance. They formed a circle surrounding the groom and the bride as their new chapter began. The good wishes, a bit of nostalgia, and delight were palpable as those glasses rose to toast one last time for the newlyweds. We are grateful to have been a part of those wishing you the best of journeys.

Eddie & Karenia

Eddie & Karenia

The ceremony was held at Sunset Cliffs, at the Luscomb Point. The area is named for a local surfing personality, Happy Luscomb. And has become a favorite spot for weddings and jaw-dropping sunset viewing.

The majestic topography of the area includes arches, sea caves, and intricate carved coastal hillsides. From the highest cliffs, lucky spectators can catch a view of the gray whales migrating to the Baja; watching Karenina emerge from a hill -with the California palm trees behind her -seemed like a postal card. It was beauty in every sense of the word.

I’ll be coming home, wait for me.

The ceremony started at 4:15 pm, perfect timing for the Sun to begin settling, with gusts of wind surrounding the romantic spot. The bride song was a medley from William McDowell, from his album: “Withholding nothing.” In the author’s words, the compilation was created as a testimony to open wide the door for a new generation to witness the manifestation of God’s presence among his people. It is about yielding everything and giving oneself to the Creator. In fit perfectly with the bride and groom as they stood facing each other, surrendering their past lives, seizing their present together, and asking God to bless their future as a family.

If that moment wasn’t emotional enough, the view of Karenia dancing with her father touched the hearts of everyone present. It was adorable to see Karenia’s tears as she embraced her dad while he softly patted her. New beginnings are exciting, but we never forget where we come from.

Talent was on display that evening when the couple’s niece delighted the audience as she sang “Die with You” by Beyonce.

Eddie took his beautiful bride in his arms, and they swayed on the floor with Ed Sheraan and his most famous rendition to love “Perfect.” The song’s lyrics are enough to tear up, with the author explaining this time is ready to express his emotions.

Fun fact about the song: the chorus references Ed Sheraan being barefoot on the grass. It was actually an actual moment when the musician was dancing on a friend’s lawn, and the idea for the song came to his mind.

I Found a Love for Me

You know you’re about to experience something remarkable when you are asked to an event like this. When the first crew arrives at the venue at 7:45 am, and preparations are happening in two different locations, we acknowledge this is no ordinary wedding -this was Eddie and Karenina’s phenomenal day.

If there’s a moment no guest will forget about the ceremony is the moment of the vows, where the bride and groom read their words to their children. It was an emotional part that blended both families together as one. Promises of eternal love were made between Eddie and Karenia, also between parents and children.

Oh, I will stay with you when no one else is around.

After such an inspirational ceremony, guests were transported in luxury limos to Building 177 -in Liberty Station Grounds -where the reception took place. Liberty Station has military origins, and it proudly announces itself as a gate to a heroic past, and a hopeful promise for the future. Building 177 was the original NTC Library. Its exposed beams, and grand vaulted ceilings, offers a versatile space for a myriad of events. The venue is perfect for a wedding.

The Grand Entrance was at 6:40 pm when the official couple marched at the rhythm of Beyonce and her “Love on Top” hit.

The ballroom looked regal -it looked like a fairy tale come true. Tables were adorned with burgundy motifs -the same shade as the bridesmaids, while candles and flowers give it the cozy element. No fairy tale is complete until the prince and princess dance together for the first time.

And in your eyes, you’re holding mine.

Such powerful moments were the prelude to an unforgettable evening. Friends and family toasted to the happy couple, and the dance floor filled with a crowd ready to celebrate such a happy event.

Music petitions were varied, with the late Queen of TexMex, Selena, requested to set the mood with her vibrating music. Bruno Mars, Beyonce, Gloria Stefan, Rihanna, and many more were present at the wedding, giving the guests one more reason to be joyful and dance. One more catchy lyric, one more song, one last kiss before saying farewell to the new Mr. and Mrs.

We cannot be more grateful to have been part of the evening. The smile of satisfaction imprinted in the happy couple is what keeps motivating our work.

It’s Like I Waited My Whole Life.

It’s Like I Waited My Whole Life.

You Are What I Couldn’t Find.

The day started early for the bride squad and Emily -as they arrived at the scene at 7:25 am! Of course, there was plenty of water and Gatorade waiting for them as their beauty routines began. The ladies needed to stay hydrated for the day ahead and for all the dancing taking place -and Boy! They danced their feet off!

Emily was ready at 12:00 pm and headed to the ceremony -which took place at the Brick barn. It is always cute to learn that the groom does not see the bride until the ceremony. For all the people claiming romance is dead, Emily and Cody sure proved them wrong. The look in Cody’s eyes as they caught the first glimpse of his bride was invaluable.

When Cody and Emily officially became Mr. and Mrs., they headed back to the reception.

A “Grupo Norteño,” which literally translates into “Northern musical group,” was already there, cheering the guests and setting the mood for an unforgettable afternoon. A photo booth was also installed on the patio, and so the fun continued!

Not only we got to witness such powerful emotions, we actually got a high five from one of the youngest guests a beautiful little girl. How cannot we love what we do?

The Wedding of Cody & Emily

How can one describe a wedding by calling it “cool” without diminishing its relevance? In all truthfulness, Cody and Emily’s wedding cannot be labeled any other way. The whole day reverberated of good vibes, chillness, but above all, warmth. I’m reminiscing a super sunny day, a sense of familiarity and an honest love between all the attendees you could actually feel. The love the guests have for the newlyweds was palpable, and the look in Emily’s eyes told them all she’d waited her whole life to experience this day.

Yes, there were stunning flower arrangements at the pool, and Emily looked like royalty in her laced dress. The couple looked ravishing as they cut their cake under a luxurious chandelier. But despite all, like in the movie, loved ruled that day.

    Ahhh the Music

    • Emily and Cody decided to make an entrance with style; both groom and bride wore sunglasses, and they marched upon while “Dreams” by The Cranberries (Dolores, you are missed! RIP). If there’s an upbeat song to celebrate the commencement of the rest of your life, this is it.
    • Then, for their first dance as a married duo, Emily and Cody requested “God Only Knows” by the Beach Boys. Three facts we want to highlight about this iconic song. First, did you know when the Beach Boys released the song, it was considered taboo to have the word “god” in song lyrics? (It was in 1966, if you were wondering). Even so, it was an immediate hit.
    • The second fun fact is that the song has been used in pop culture often. I am sure you all remember the unforgettable scene at Heathrow Airport from the movie “Love Actually… is all Around,” in which we learn that despite what the media tells us, love is the number one ruler.
    • Finally, we thought the song was the ideal way to depict Emily and Cody’s union. This wedding reflected the true meaning of getting married! You could see people dancing, holding hands, a daddy carrying his little girl, a mother enjoying dessert while a stroller was next to her.

We’d like to give a big ol RunMC shout out to the friend who caught the bouquet like a pro!

Because You’re Mine, I Walk the Line

Because You’re Mine, I Walk the Line

Chris and Corrin chose the Feast and Fareway venue as the place to get married. The ceremony took place right in the Coronado Golf course – one of the city’s most precious treasures. The course’s immaculate greens, majestic views matched with the fantastic weather were the perfect combination for a day to be remembered. 6,590 yards of mesmerizing green contrasting with the San Diego harbor -breathtaking, to say the least.

You know how every wedding has its special something? Those little details that make it stand out from the rest? Here are some of our favorites from Chris and Corrin’s ceremony:

    • Of course, everyone pays attention when the bride’s father escorts his daughter to the aisle and this was not the exception. However, we also loved the moment Chris’s mother walked with him, and particularly the long embrace they shared at the end. They both looked happy, grateful, and blessed.

‘Cause I’ve Built My Life Around You

After such a fantastic ceremony, the crowd moved to the other side of the course -into the Café area where they held the reception. Tables were set with an elegant white linen cloth, with ornaments in green and floral arrangements. The jaw-dropping views were still visible from every seating location.

Whistling and laughter could be heard as ACDC rocked “You Shook Me All Night Long,” and Chris removed the garter from Corrin. The dance floor turned into a 1980s disco with colored lights as all of the guests danced “Take on Me.”

The Wedding of Chris & Corrin

If a couple frames a quote from Johnny Cash for their wedding ceremony, their chances of anything going wrong during the day are slim. All jokes aside, Chris and Corrin starred in a beautiful wedding; we were honored to be in attendance.

Chris and Corrin’s wedding went on flawlessly. It was like a dream come true in every single detail they had planned for. It was amazing watching Corrin displaying all sorts of happiness while Chris gazed at this stunning woman thinking: this is my wife -how lucky a guy can get?!

    • “Love is not a word; it is an action.” Powerful and moving words uttered by the officiant. You could tell she was not repeating a rehearsed speech; every single word came out from a place of wisdom, advice. The guests moved from laughter to tears as the beloved couple listened to the words that marked the beginning of their marriage.
    • “Do you believe in God?” The vows. Chris and Corrin chose to write their own vows. They were simply fantastic, filled with anecdotes from their first date, the deep conversations they like to have, the naturality that has accompanied their relationship since it started.
    • The round of applause Chris gave as he looked at his beautiful bride walking towards him.
    • Finally, the view. The wedding crowd faced the mesmerizing Coronado bridge. It was like traffic, routine, busy lives, and challenges were met from the other side. However, on this side, life took a pause for Chris and Corrin to reflect on what was about to happen. There was no rush, no speeding. It was all peace. It was all love.

    Ahhh the Music

Chris and Corrin had tons of musical requests, which we happily complied with. It is always nice when people appreciate the classics and know precisely what mood they want to set among their guests.

Music was mellow and smooth for dinner time, such as the all-time classic “Comfortably Numb”, composed by the unrivaled dup David Gilmour and Roger Waters.

Tears of joy, happiness, embraces, and laughter happened during the last song. “Hey, Jude” was the hymn to which Chris and Corrin swayed as their forever adventure began.

It was a pleasure to host and perform on their special day.
